HIGH SPRINGS, Fla.- Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies have confirmed both women found unconscious in Poe Springs on Sunday have died.
TV20 has confirmed two women are Nhung Thi Do and Thi Nhung Nguyen, both Vietnamese nationals.
An online fundraiser explains that Nhung Nguyen came to the United States two years ago and was living in Gainesville. The fundraiser, which has exceeded its goal, states that the money will be used to bring her body back to Vietnam for burial.
Officials said a teen boy snorkeling in the springs found the two women unconscious, pulled them out of the water, and contacted emergency services.
