‘Tragic and egregious’: Police find ‘headless torso’ of missing woman in freezer on bus

NEW ORLEANS (WKRC) – A search for a missing woman led police to find her “headless torso” inside a freezer on a bus belonging to her boyfriend.

Juliar Dardar, 36, was reported missing in December 2021 by her ex-husband, who told police that she had moved in with her new boyfriend, 34-year-old Benjamin Beale, according to a court affidavit obtained by local outlet WDSU.

First responders made contact with Beale upon arriving at his residence, and he told investigators he was having relationship issues with Dardar before giving the officers permission to search his home.

“Investigators utilized a key to unlock the padlock and made entry into the bus,” an affidavit obtained by Law&Crime read. “Upon opening the lid of the freezer, investigators observed the headless torso of what appeared to be an adult human female. A deep linear cut was visible along the left shoulder/upper arm area, which appeared to have been inflicted post-mortem.”

Police also found an ice chest on Beale’s property that contained a reciprocating saw with “bits of flesh and fluid on the blade.”

WDSU reported that many of Dardar’s other body parts were found wrapped in plastic.

A further search of Beale’s home uncovered a clandestine meth lab, kerosene, white powder, acetone, and a safe full of Dardar’s wallet, ID, and credit cards.

Beale entered a plea deal and pled guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 30 years in prison with credit for time served on February 6, 2026.
