U.S INMATE CLAIMS TO HAVE DONE THE WORLD A FAVOR

“Those people are every parent’s worst nightmare.” – That’s what Jonathan Watson wrote in a confession after k**lling two fellow inmates while already serving a life sentence. In his own words, he believed he had nothing left to lose.

Watson carried out the attack at California’s Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran, where he beat two prisoners to death using a walking cane. The victims — David Bobb, 48, and Graham De Luis-Conti, 62 — were both serving life sentences for aggravated s*xual assault of children under 14.

Watson himself was already imprisoned for murder and had recently been moved to a lower-security dorm. According to his confession, tensions escalated when one of the men in his housing unit began watching PBS Kids in front of other inmates, which Watson interpreted as a provocation.

He said he asked a counselor to move him, warning that he might become violent if he stayed. The request was dismissed.

About two hours later, Watson attacked the first man. While heading to find a guard afterward, he encountered another inmate convicted of child trafficking and assaulted him as well. Bobb d*ed the same day. De Luis-Conti passed away three days later.

In his written confession, Watson described his motive bluntly: “I figured I’d just do everybody a favor.”
