Porsche SUV splits entirely in half after slamming into tree in wild Dunwoody crash

The most remarkable part of it all: The driver thankfully only sustained minor injuries in the crash.

DUNWOODY, Ga. — A driver remarkably escaped with only minor injuries after a Porsche split in half during a crash that police say involved significant force in Dunwoody on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Meadow Lane near Ridgeview Road, where the vehicle struck a tree and was torn apart. Authorities said the driver’s seat was the only portion of the cabin that remained intact. The road has a 35 mph speed limit.

Despite the severity of the crash, the driver sustained only minor injuries, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing, with speed being considered a primary factor in the crash. All lanes in the area remain closed as crews work to clear the scene, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
